Jenna always felt alone and always wanted everyone to love her … and boy did she get her wish.

Rolling Stone captured the essence of Jenna Jameson when it said she`s “the woman who put the star in porn star.” AVN, the adult industry`s leading trade journal, concluded that Jenna is the top female adult star of all time. (AVN, January 2002). Even while her adult career continues to soar, Jenna is increasingly in demand in mainstream entertainment sectors. Along with a packed schedule of films, television acting roles, personal appearances and modeling, the dynamic Jenna Jameson is also CEO of Club Jenna, Inc., said to be the fast growing Internet management, production and licensing company.

Jenna Jameson began her illustrious career at the age of 16 in Las Vegas as an exotic dancer. Formally trained in ballet Jenna excelled as a topless dancer and moved on to dance at the world-famous Crazy Horse II. But that wasn’t enough for her. Jenna knew there was more out there and turned to nude modeling at the age of 18. By her 20th birthday Jenna has appeared in dozens of top men’s magazines including Penthouse, Hustler, High Society and Cheri.

Jenna tried her hand at starring in an adult movie and it was a disaster. She wasn’t happy with the results at all but instead of giving up Jenna decided to take her future in her own hands and approached two of the top video companies, Vivid Video and Wicked Pictures. As the story goes, Vivid laughed with this 5 foot 4 dynamo walked into their office and proclaimed she was going to be the biggest name in the porn industry so she walked out, shrugged it off and went into Wicked Pictures. Only this time they believed her. It was said they “seen something in her eyes” and believed every word she said. This was in 1995 and by 1996 Jenna won her first series of awards. Within a few years Jenna would indeed become a household name and will go on to win virtually every honor the adult industry bestows.

Times may have changed but Jenna Jameson is still the same power house she was in the beginning. When Jenna wants something, Jenna gets it! Jenna started her own website which she retains a large portion of control over. As Jenna began growing her own empire she realized how badly Wicked Pictures was treating her and how they were using her image in a negative manner. Beyond all of that, they just weren’t giving Jenna the respect she deserved.

So one day at an adult convention Wicked Pictures hires Basketball superstar Dennis Rodman to appear at their booth to promote their services. Jenna was there but not “working”. Mostly she was just there to check things out. When she showed up she noticed Dennis Rodman was promoting something called “Jenna Vision” of which she was not happy about.

Jenna Vision was a web content service which basically allowed any adult site to add that service to their own site for a set monthly fee. This service was created and promoted through Jenna’s contract company, Wicked Pictures. Jenna not only didn’t know about it but did not receive compensation. In fact, Wicked Pictures failed to ever tell Jenna about it, she only found out about it during an interview. When she contacted Wicked Pictures about it they made some empty promises about not doing it anymore so when Jenna showed up at the adult convention and seen it being promoted things got really heated. It was at this point Jenna walked over about two booths to Wicked’s biggest competitor, Vivid Video and signed a deal with them right then and there.

This time Jenna constructed a great deal for herself and her fans. Jenna would appear in a few select movies for Vivid every year and they would also produce some of her own movies. They would promote Jenna and in turn Vivid could use her likeness to promote their own company.

The first movie Jenna did for Vivid was Briana Loves Jenna of which Jenna herself helped to produce. Briana Loves Jenna (2001), co-produced with Vivid, cost $280,000 to make, but grossed over $1 million in its first year. It turned out to be one of Jenna’s best selling movies as it soared to the top of the sales chart. It was named by AVN as the top selling and renting video of 2002. Jenna also appeared in Vivid’s infamous line of lesbian titles, Where the Boys Aren’t #14 along side some of the biggest names in porn including Briana Banks, Kira Kener, Taylor Hayes, Cheyenne Silver, Dasha, Raylene, Dayton Rains and Chelsea Sinclair. Jenna’s first appearance in a Where The Boys Aren’t title was back in 1995 in which she has a scene with Janine that is still talked about  years later.

Things at Wicked Pictures have not been so great since Jenna’s departure. They never did have any big named stars besides Jenna so their sales have dropped dramatically. Their movies have always been high quality but their extremely high wholesale prices and lack of big named stars has led this disaster for them. Even to this date, years later they never really recaptured the magic they had with Jenna Jameson. They tried to re-brand and build up their own stars like Jessica Drake, in an effort to make her into a Jenna Jameson, but Jessica Drake as famous as she may be, is not and never will be Jenna Jameson.

Jenna on the other hand ended up doing much better after leaving Wicked Pictures behind. Besides her work at Vivid and her own site Club Jenna, she  also went back into mainstream acting. The question isn’t what has Jenna done, it’s what hasn’t she!

Jenna’s appeared in Howard Stern’s movie “Private Parts” as well as a recurring role on a TV series (NBC’s Mister Sterling) in a roll that only she could pull off … she plays Jenna Jameson the porn star. Jenna Jameson is so famous she even has her own “True Hollywood Story” on E!. Jenna’s also did several episodes of E!’s Wild On in the late 1990’s and in July of 2001 did a voice over for a cartoon version of herself on the animated series Family Guy which originally appeared on Fox and now plays in syndication on the Cartoon Network. In 2002 Jenna does voice work for the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4. She also does a cameo as a stripper in the movie Analyze That starring Robert Deniro and Billy Crystal. In 2002 Jenna appears in Eminem’s video “Without Me” which had heavy air play on MTV. Later that year she went head to head with Bill O’Reilly about the business of pornography on The O’Reilly Factor from the Fox network. In 2004 Jenna worked with VH1 with a special 1 hour program about becoming a porn star and her book which in 2002 she signed a six-figure deal to write called “How to Make Love Like a Porn Star” which is said to be an autobiography with sex tips. When the book was finally released about two years later it became an instant best seller. The book spent six weeks on The New York Times Best Seller list and debuted on the Times’ list at Number 9 and to this day still remains at the top of the charts at Amazon. In February of 2008 she has also created a horror comic book with Virgin Comics called Jenna Jameson’s Shadow Hunter. That same year (2008) she played the female lead character in the 2008 horror-comedy Zombie Strippers.

In 1998, Jenna was married for about 10 weeks to co-worker Rodney Hopkins, aka Brad Armstrong (who is a contract director for Wicked Pictures). Soon after their divorce, Jenna Jameson met Jay Gradina, who performed in porn under the name Justin Sterling. The two became business partners and soon married. They formed Club Jenna, a porn company in 2000 and married in 2003. It proved a huge financial success for them and in 2005 Club Jenna’s revenues were projected to be $30 million. Jenna also has her husband’s name tattooed on her ring finger. In June 2006 Club Jenna sold out to Playboy in a multi-million dollar deal. The sell of Club Jenna was the biggest deal in porn history that had to do with a porn star’s personal website and/or brand.

In August of 2006, she was rumored to be “spending time” with Dave Navarro just after his highly publicized breakup with Carmen Electra. However soon after, Jenna was spotted partying in Las Vegas with Ultimate Fighting Champion, Tito Ortiz. A few days later Jenna was seen in the green room at the VHS Big in ’06 awards with Tito, right after Jenna filed for a legal separation from her husband of three years, adult film star, Jay Grdina, also known as Justin Sterling. In January of 2007 Tito stated officially that he and Jenna are together, in love and is no longer in the adult business. Guess we’ll see. On January 23, 2007 Tito Ortiz got a very special present for his birthday, a scantily-clad Jenna Jameson. Jenna threw Tito a huge party and dressed up as a Pussycat Doll at PURE Nightclub in Caesars Palace in Las Vegas to help celebrate her UFC fighter boyfriend’s birthday. She popped out of a box and danced onstage and on Tito to Justin Timberlake’s “SexyBack.”

At the January 2008 AVN Awards Jenna Jameson gave her now famous speech in which many in the industry felt greatly insulted as she said she would “never spread her legs for this industry again”. On March 16, 2009 Jenna Jameson gave birth to twin boys, Jesse Jameson and Journey Jette with her husband Tito Ortiz. The couple then spent 2010-2013 in brutal ugly on again off again wars. As of January of 2014 Tito Ortiz and Jenna Jameson were still separated and he has custody of their twin boys.

In October of 2013 Jenna Jameson released a fictional debut novel “Sugar”. It apparently did quite well and a full blown trilogy is in the works. The second book in the series is called “Honey” and is due out sometime in late 2014.

In January 2014 Jenna Jameson hosted the XBIZ awards and besides promoting her book does occasional live web cam shows for her fans.
